How to Read a Credit Report - Self.

There are many places you get can get a free credit report.  But "free" usually comes with a price that requires you to create an account with the website and receive a never-ending number of emails and advertisements to buy something.  If you want to get your actual credit report - the one provided by the actual credit bureau - go to www.AnnualCreditReport.com.

Since the pandemic began in the spring of 2020, you have been able to get one free report from each of the three national credit bureaus on a weekly basis.  When the pandemic is officially declared "over", the system will revert back to getting one free report per year.

NO FREE SCORE

This credit report does not include a credit score.  If you want a credit score, you'll need to sign up for a monitoring service from the credit bureaus.  If you're going to do that, then you should consider signing up for one of the many free credit monitoring services that are available from companies like Credit Karma, Credit Sesame, WalletHub, NerdWallet, LendingTree, and many more.
